Project:   Pest risk analysis for Dryocosmus kuriphilus

Scope : 

This document presents a pest risk assessment on the oriental chestnut gall wasp, Dryocosmus kuriphilus Yasumatsu (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae), in response to a request from Ministry of Food, Agriculture andLlivestock . The assessment is undertaken for the whole Turkey, and includes identification and evaluation of risk management options in terms of their effectiveness in reducing the risk posed by the organism.

Scope :  This PRA follows the EPPO Decision-support scheme for quarantine pests PM 5/3 (5).A preliminary draft was prepared by Ms Asuman Ergun (PPO of Turkey). This document has been reviewed by an Expert Working Group (EWG) that met at the EPPO Headquarters in Paris, France on the 2014-10-20/24.


Project  Pest Risk Analysis for Dothistroma needle blight

Scope: Red band needle blight, so called because of the symptoms it causes on pine, is an economically important disease in nurseries and forests within  Europe, Africa, America and Ocenia because of  its high spread capacity and adaptability . This PRA  is to assess possible risk factors caused by Dothistroma septosporum (Dorog.) and Dothistroma pini (Hulbary) in the risk assessment area,Turkey.


Project:  Platypus parallelus (Fabricus, 1801) Zararlı Risk Analiz Çalışması

Scope : The initiation point for this PRA is imported Tetraberlina bifoliata logs from Cameroon (Africa) into Turkey. In this context, ambrosia beetle Platypus parallelus  which was intercepted  in official controls by Kocaeli Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and identified by entomologist Gonca ÖZALP,  was   analysed.  PRA area is Turkey. This study was published in EPPO Bulletin 2015, Vol. 25.

Project:  POSSIBILITIES OF CHEMICAL CONTROL AND DETERMINATION OF Fusariumspp. BY MOLECULAR METHODS ON SOME IMPORTED FLOWER BULBS

Scope : In this study conducted with Gladiolus L.,Lilium L., Tulipa L., Iris L.and Hyacinthus, Fusarium oxysporum Schlechtmicroconidia, Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht chlamydospore and reference Fusariumoxysporum Schlecht. f. sp. Tulipae (FOT) isolates have been detected by conventional PCR and Real-time PCR as the first time.

In addition, mycelial effectiveness of fludioxonil 100g/L, fludioxonil 25g/L+metalaxyl-M 10g/L, quinosol %50, prothioconazole 250g/L+tebuconazole 150g/L, prochloraz %50, hydrogenperoxide %0.49+colloidal silver %0.03 and Lactobacillus acidophilus 781.18g/L on 7 different Fusarium spp. İsolates were evaluated in vitro.​
